TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Bangkok - Nakhon Ratchasima
Start from your hotel to Saraburi, where Phra Buddha Bat, a footprint of Lord Buddha is highly revered. Go on to visit Thailands biggest milk farm at Phak Chong before reaching Khao Yai National Park for a walk to the famous Nakhon Nayok waterfall. Evening arrival to Nakhon Ratchasima for accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 2 Nakhon Ratchasima - Ubon Ratchathani
Morning start to Dan Kwien, a village famous for its local ceramics. Go on to visit the fascinating temple ruins of Prasat Khao Phanom Rung, that were built between the 10th and 13th century. Pass through typical north-eastern landscape to reach Ubon Ratchathani, the most eastern province of Thailand. Accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 3 Ubon Ratchathani - Mukdahan
Morning visit to Wat Nong Bua, a temple with a chedi in Indian style, before leaving the town to Khong Chiam. Start for a boat ride at the confluence of Mun and Mekhong, to see the clear waters of the Mun flowing into the brown floods of the Mekhong. Go on to the huge rocky plateau of Pa Taem, that overlooks the Mekhong valley. See the pre-historical paintings that date back 4000 years and reach Mukdahan for overnight at a town hotel.

Day 4 Mukdahan - Khon Kaen
Visit Wat Phra That Phanom, a copy of a similar temple in Vientiane and the most important in the Northeast. Pass Sakhon Nakhon and the hilly plateau Phu Pharn, that is interspersed with lakes, to reach Khon Kaen for accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 5 Khon Kaen - Bangkok
After breakfast visit the provincial museum, stop at Chanabot village to see the production of the famous Mutmee Silk and vist the temple complex of Phimai, that is similar to Angkor Wat and was once connected to it by a street. Evening arrival to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel.
