6 DAYS HIGHLIGHTS OF SOUTH THAILAND
This guided tour bypasses the long distances to the South by air and combines the highlights of the central southern provinces with a relaxing day at the beaches of Krabi. Air ticket from Bangkok to Surat Thani is included.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Bangkok - Surat Thani
Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok and transfer to Don Muang airport for the evening flight to Surat Thani. On arrival transfer to a town hotel for accommodation.

Day 2 Surat Thani - Nakhon Sri Thammarat
Observe how monkeys are trained to pick up coconuts and go on to Khao Luang National Park, with summits up to 1800 m, impressive waterfalls and a nearby temple with an immense limestone cave. Continue on to Nakhon Sri Thammarat for accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 3 Nakhon Sri Thammarat - Trang
Visit the restored Wat Mahadhat, a temple built in the 7th century and watch a performance of shadow play, one of the southern arts. Leave Nakhon Sri Thammarat on a road leading through fruit plantations, showing the wide range of tropical fruits. Visit a local temple built into a limestone cave with a giant Reclining Buddha image before arrival in Trang. Accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 4 Trang - Krabi
After a walk across the local market go to Kantang to cross Trang river to reach Pak Meng beach. Pass the national park with its remote beaches and fissured rocks and stop at Wat Tham Suea, the Monastery in the Tiger Cave. Pass the famous Shell Fossil Cemetery to arrive Krabi for accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 5 Krabi
Full day boat trip to beaches and islands of Krabi for swimming, snorkelling or sunbathing. Accommodation at a town hotel.

Day 6 Krabi - Phuket
Visit Than Bok Khoranee Park and start from a nearby pier for a fascinating boat trip to hidden caves in the mangrove forest. Stop at a temple built inside a limestone cave enshrining numerous Buddha images and reach Phuket island in the evening for end at Phuket airport or the chosen hotel.
