See some of Bangkok's most important sights and discover a rather unknown side of the Thai capital.
Pay a visit to Wat Po, also known as Thailand's oldest "university" and home of the giant Reclining Buddha, one of the most impressive Buddha- images in Thailand. Also visit the Grand Palace, which nowadays is still in use for receptions and Royal ceremonies. It is also the where you will find the most important temple in the whole country: Wat Phra Keow is the home of the Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha- image of all.  (End of Part 1)
After lunch, which will be served at a local restaurant near the river, you will board a longtail- boat and set out to discover another and quiet unexpected side of Bangkok. In Thonburi, on the westbank of the Chaophraya, you will get the impression, you entered another world. "Is this still Bangkok?" you may find yourself asking, as you are driving by wooden houses on stilts in an almost serene atmosphere. Observe and take some interesting pictures, of people living by and with the river and understand, why Bangkok once was called "Venice of the East". Included in the program is a visit to one of the most photographed sights of the city, Wat Arun. (End of Part 2)
