Sample Itinerary

Early morning depart from Bangkok. We’ll travel approximately 100km outside Bangkok to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market to discover the Bangkok of old, when life took place on the rivers and waterways. An exhilarating and scenic ride on a longtail speedboat will take us past riverside villages and fruit plantations, before entering the vibrant market. Here, vendors sell tropical fruits, exotic vegetables and aromatic snacks from small wooden sampans on the water, while stalls on the dockside are laden with local handicrafts, wood carvings, assorted silks and other trinkets. It’s a great place to buy souvenirs and get an insight into Thailand’s rural culture.

After lunch in a local restaurant, we’ll continue our journey to Hua Hin. Along the way, we’ll visit Phra Nakhon Khiri, the famous summer palace also known as Khao Wang, which means ‘Palace on the Hill’. In its heyday, this was a thriving complex of religious buildings, villas and throne rooms. It was used by several former kings as a summer palace and a place to entertain important guests.

On arrival in Hua Hin, check into the hotel and overnight.

After breakfast we’ll begin our journey to Chumphorn, the gateway to the southern provinces.

On the way, we’ll make a stop at Sam Roi Yod National Park which meansThree Hundred Mountain Peaks’. This coastal national park is home to mountain-caves, freshwater marshes and hundreds of limestone peaks covered in lush greenery. We’ll take a boat to a beach at the base of one of the mountains, and then hike up to the magnificent Cave of Phaya Nakhon. Inside this revered cave is an exquisite Thai-style pavilion, built by the beloved King Rama V. It is located beneath an opening in the roof of the cave, through which the sunlight streams through.

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

On arrival in Chumphorn, check into the hotel and overnight.

After breakfast, we’ll head further south towards Krabi.

We’ll stop in Surat Thani to visit the Wat Phra Boromathat Chaiya Rata Worawihan. This elaborate temple is one of the most important and beautiful Buddhist temples in the province. The ancient chedi has been built in Srivijaya style with many golden ornaments, and is an iconic symbol of Surat Thani.
